This section provides links to ‘soils in stories’ – resources for education and interest – Soil Selfies, Snooping into Soils, the Otherways Soil Education activities articles, and community events. 

Explore soils at any  time (or for World Soil Day) with  activities using the WSD poster, and theme and Soil Selfies resource collection. Many Soil Selfies have LN Posts as introductory discussions of values or issues within them, to help you look at soils in different ways.  The progress of Soil Selfies and Snooping into Soils is here. 

Snooping into Soils activities were developed for National Science Week
These are usually accompanied by activities using the Soil Selfies.

The Wimmera Soil Education Project is a program with activities in 4 sessions developed to bring the IYSoils to 8 Wimmera Schools and their communities and via the web, further afield.  The activities raise awareness of soil, how it is valued and used, some simple tests and some key care methods for home and farm. They address the first three aims for the IYSoils.
